The Swanage Jazz Club are pleased to welcome from South London, The Soul Immigrants fine purveyors of energetic Soul, Jazz Funk (& beyond) Masterminded by Nitin Sawhney (before his solo career) and singer/guitarist Emrys Baird. They’ve been plying their trade ever since releasing their critically acclaimed ‘Bank From The Brink ‘ in 2020 on leading U.K. label Lateralize and 45 singles on their own label .Their last vinyl single featured The JB’s maestro Fred Wesley and was played heavily by Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles. Their current single ‘Blame It On The Endgame’ out now  is also garnering critical acclaim and being played by Jazz Fm and BBC6Music.

Funkier than a mosquito’s tweeter and fizzing with an electrifying energy that’s been fine-tuned over the course of countless live performances everywhere from Ronnie Scott’s to Glastonbury, the mighty Soul Immigrants have built a peerless reputation as one of the tightest outfits around.

We are extremely excited to welcome them for what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable night of infectious dancefloor fillers by everyone from James Brown and Bill Withers to Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. This promises to be a night not to miss at the Isle of Purbeck Golf Club.
